VNET Founder Refinances Loan, Regains Shares

VNET Group, Inc. Sponsored ADR (VNET) has released an update.

VNET Group, Inc. has announced the successful refinancing of a margin loan facility by the company’s founder and interim CEO, Mr. Josh Sheng Chen, who used the proceeds from a new promissory note and his cash reserves to settle obligations. The settlement has allowed Mr. Chen to regain his beneficial ownership interest in more than 33 million Class A ordinary shares, while also securing the new note with additional shares, solidifying his significant influence over the company’s management and policies.
