Valeura Energy Pauses Wassana Field Operations

Valeura Energy (TSE:VLE) has released an update.

Valeura Energy Inc. has halted production at its Wassana field in the Gulf of Thailand after discovering a crack in one of the facility’s steel legs during a routine inspection. The company emphasizes the precautionary nature of the suspension, noting that there has been no harm to personnel or the environment. Valeura is consulting experts to determine the next steps and will update stakeholders in an upcoming Q2 2024 operations report.
