TransAlta (TSE:TA) has released an update.
TransAlta Corporation has announced the commencement of operations at their 200 MW Horizon Hill Wind Project in Oklahoma, which is a significant addition to their U.S. renewable energy portfolio, now exceeding 1 GW. This wind facility, contracted to Meta for both electricity and environmental attributes, strengthens TransAlta’s position in the renewable sector and marks their 30th wind facility. The partnership with Meta aligns with their commitment to powering global operations with 100% renewable energy, while TransAlta also enters a 10-year transfer agreement for the sale of production tax credits, contributing to an estimated average annual adjusted EBITDA of US$31 to US$33 million.
