TransAlta Corp (TSE:TA) has released an update.
TransAlta Corporation successfully conducted its Annual Meeting of Shareholders, resulting in the election of all twelve director nominees as proposed by management, with substantial majority votes in favor. Additionally, the appointment of Ernst & Young LLP as auditors for 2024 was confirmed, and the non-binding say-on-pay advisory vote received strong support with 99.02% votes for. TransAlta, a leader in wind and hydro-electric power in Canada, continues its commitment to sustainable energy and has significantly reduced its GHG emissions by 66% since 2015.
