Jennifer Paquette, a director at Tortoise Energy Independence Fund, Inc., announced she won’t seek reelection after her term ends at the 2024 Annual Meeting. This decision isn’t due to disagreements with the company’s operations or board. Meanwhile, Matthew Sallee is set to become the new CEO, taking over from Courtney Gengler who is departing to explore new opportunities. Sallee, with a history of various roles at the company since 2005, will assume his new position while continuing as Managing Director.
