TMC Expands Board, Appoints Steve Jurvetson as Vice Chair

TMC the metals company Inc. (TMC) has issued an update.

TMC the metals company Inc. has expanded its board of directors to nine members and appointed notable venture capitalist Steve Jurvetson as director and Vice Chair. With a rich background including co-founding Future Ventures and serving on the boards of SpaceX and Tesla, Jurvetson brings a wealth of experience to TMC. He’s also been engaged as a special advisor to TMC’s CEO and will not be considered an independent director due to a consulting agreement that grants him stock options in lieu of other board compensation. His directorship is set until the 2024 Annual Meeting, where he may stand for re-election.
