Televisa’s Market Dominance Designation Revoked

Grupo Televisa, S.A.B. (TV) has released an update.

Grupo Televisa, S.A.B., a leading Mexican multimedia telecommunications company, has announced the revocation by the Mexican Institute of Telecommunications (IFT) of its previous designation as a dominant market player in the restricted television and audio services sector. This decision also negates the necessity for previously mandated asymmetric regulatory measures against the company and its subsidiaries. Televisa is a key player in the production and distribution of Spanish-speaking media content and operates one of Mexico’s largest cable companies and a top satellite pay television system.
