Grupo Televisa, S.A.B. (TV) has released an update.
Grupo Televisa, S.A.B., a leading Mexican telecommunications corporation, has been notified by the Federal Telecommunications Institute (IFT) of changes to the broadcasting sector’s preponderance measures. The IFT’s modifications include updated requirements for the Public Offering of Passive Infrastructure, maintaining the prohibition of exclusive acquisitions of Relevant Audiovisual Content unless sublicensing rights are obtained, and new specific requirements for advertising services. Grupo Televisa is currently evaluating the implications of these changes and considering appropriate actions.
