Suzano Papel e Celulose SA (SUZ) has released an update.
Suzano Papel e Celulose SA’s Board of Directors have unanimously approved the acquisition of Pactiv Evergreen Inc.’s assets, including the purchase of integrated paperboard production plants in the U.S. with a capacity of 420,000 metric tons per year. The $110 million deal includes a six-year supply agreement between Suzano and Pactiv, subject to antitrust authority approval and customary closing conditions. This strategic expansion is set to enhance Suzano’s position in the paperboard market, leveraging their new U.S. subsidiary established for the transaction.
