Sun Life Financial Inc. has announced plans to fully redeem its $750 million Series 2019-1 Subordinated Unsecured 2.38% Fixed/Floating Debentures on August 13, 2024. The redemption, which includes principal and unpaid interest, will be funded through Sun Life’s existing cash and liquid assets. This move comes as part of the company’s financial strategy, impacting debenture holders who will no longer accrue interest post-redemption.
