Standard Chartered Enhances Value with Share Buy-Back

Standard Chartered (GB:STAN) has released an update.

Standard Chartered PLC has repurchased over 1.6 million of its own shares as part of a buy-back program, with the shares acquired at a volume weighted average price of 830.80 pence. This move aims to reduce the total number of shares in circulation, thereby increasing earnings per share and enhancing shareholder value. Following the cancellation of these shares, the total number of voting rights in the company will be adjusted to approximately 2.47 billion.
