St Barbara Ltd. is making strides in renewable energy with its Touquoy Gold Mine feasibility study for a pumped hydro energy storage facility progressing ahead of schedule. The project, which could become one of the largest in Atlantic Canada, aims to provide 80MW of power for 7 hours, enhancing energy redundancy for Nova Scotia. Additionally, the company is exploring solar power generation at the site and considering similar renewable initiatives at other locations.
