SSR Mining Inc. has announced significant changes to its executive team, appointing Michael J. Sparks as the new Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, while the former CFO, Alison White, will be departing the company. Sparks brings over a decade of experience to his new role, where he’ll oversee finance, risk, and IT, on top of his existing legal and compliance duties. The reshuffle also sees F. Edward Farid become Chief Strategy Officer and Joanne Thomopoulos stepping up as Executive Vice President of Human Resources, heralding a new strategic direction for the mining firm.
