Sociedad Química y Minera de Chile S.A. (SQM) has announced the issuance and sale of $850 million worth of senior unsecured notes with a 5.500% annual interest rate, due in 2034. The proceeds from this offering, expected to close on September 10, 2024, are earmarked for refinancing existing debt and supporting general corporate activities, including capital expenditures. The notes will be available to qualified institutional buyers in the U.S. and to certain international investors, but will not be registered for public sale in the U.S. or European Economic Area.
