Spirit Airlines Ends Merger Deal, JetBlue Pays Up

An announcement from Spirit Airlines (SAVE) is now available.

Spirit Airlines and JetBlue Airways terminated their previously announced merger agreement, with JetBlue agreeing to pay Spirit $69 million in cash as part of the termination. The companies also consented to a six-month period of non-solicitation and non-disparagement, along with mutual releases of claims related to the merger. The termination and its conditions were made public by Spirit in a recent press release.
