SpareBank 1 SR-Bank Benefits from Insurance Merger

Sparebank 1 SR Bank ASA (GB:0Q57) has released an update.

Norway’s Financial Supervisory Authority has approved the merger of Fremtind Forsikring AS and Eika Forsikring AS, scheduled for October 1, 2024, following a transaction agreement involving major financial players including SpareBank 1 Gruppen AS, DNB Bank ASA, and Eika Gruppen AS. SpareBank 1 SR-Bank, which owns 19.5% of SpareBank 1 Gruppen, will see an equity increase of approximately 510 million Norwegian kroner from the deal, with an overall neutral impact on the bank’s capital adequacy.
