SolarWinds Appoints Lewis Black as New CFO in Strategic Shift

SolarWinds (SWI) just unveiled an update.

SolarWinds Corporation has named Lewis Black as the new Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, slated to take up his role effectively around August 15, 2024. Black, with a robust background in SaaS and enterprise software, takes over from J. Barton Kalsu, who resigned to pursue other opportunities but will aid in the transition period. Black’s comprehensive experience, including leadership roles at Actian Corporation and Vonage Holdings Corp., positions him well for steering SolarWinds’ financial strategies. His employment package includes a $450,000 base salary, potential bonuses, equity grants, and additional benefits, aligning his interests with the company’s long-term success.
