Smart for Life Appoints Heather Granato to Board, Robert Rein Steps Down

Smart for Life, Inc. (SMFL) just unveiled an announcement.

Robert S. Rein stepped down from the Board of Smart for Life, Inc., and Heather Granato was appointed in his place on April 18, 2024. Granato, a seasoned professional with 30 years in the natural products industry and a background in journalism, is recognized as independent according to Nasdaq rules. She brings extensive nutraceutical industry experience to her multiple committee roles, including Chair of the Compensation Committee. Granato will receive an annual fee and stock options as part of her compensation, and the company has also entered into an indemnification agreement with her.
