SkyWest, Inc. is set to experience a change in leadership as Jerry Atkin, a long-serving director and Board Chair, prepares to retire in accordance with the company’s governance guidelines, having reached the age threshold of 75. Atkin, who significantly contributed to the company’s success since joining in 1974 and later serving as President and CEO, will be succeeded by James L. Welch, the current Lead Independent Director, after the 2024 Annual Meeting of Shareholders. This transition comes without any disputes over company operations or policies.
