China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation reported a 3% increase in oil and gas production in the first half of 2024, reaching 257.30 million barrels of oil equivalent (mmboe), with a notable surge in natural gas output by 6%. However, the company saw a mixed performance in refined products, with gasoline sales up by 6.6% but diesel and light chemical feedstock experiencing declines. These preliminary figures are subject to confirmation in the company’s interim report.
