SIMEC Atlantis Energy Limited has received the second milestone payment of £2m from its agreement with EL (Uskmouth) Limited for the Uskmouth Sustainable Energy Park project. This follows the successful completion of earthworks and is part of a larger £9.8m deal linked to the development of a significant battery energy storage system. The company anticipates further payments upon the completion of civil works and the delivery of batteries, with CEO Graham Reid highlighting the site’s potential for over 1GW of battery storage opportunities.
