Silex Systems Advances Uranium Enrichment Project

Silex Systems Limited (AU:SLX) has released an update.

Silex Systems Limited has announced that Global Laser Enrichment LLC (GLE), the exclusive licensee of its advanced uranium enrichment technology, has secured an option to buy land for a new enrichment facility in Kentucky. This facility will leverage GLE’s agreement with the U.S. Department of Energy to utilize over 200,000 metric tonnes of stored depleted uranium tails, aiming to produce natural uranium hexafluoride at a significant volume. The development of this project is subject to the completion of a pilot demonstration, market conditions, and other factors, with the potential to position GLE as a major supplier in the uranium market.
