Sembcorp Industries has secured a 150MW wind-solar hybrid power project in India, enhancing its renewable energy portfolio to 4.9GW in the country and 14.6GW globally. This project, awarded by the Solar Energy Corporation of India, is part of a larger 600MW bid and is expected to be operational within 24 months, with a 25-year power purchase agreement in place. The project will be funded through a combination of internal funds and debt, though it is not anticipated to significantly impact Sembcorp’s earnings or net tangible assets this year.
