SIMEC Atlantis Energy Limited reports a strong financial start to 2024 with revenues of £12.1 million in the six months to June, despite a loss before tax of £6.0 million due to the timing of profit recognition from a significant land sale. The company is expanding its footprint in the renewable energy sector, acquiring full ownership of a 120MW battery energy storage system (BESS) project, and submitting a planning application for a substantial new BESS project in Scotland. With continued success from its MeyGen tidal array and advancements in BESS projects, SAE is positioning itself as a leader in integrated renewable energy generation and storage.
