Prudential (GB:PRU) has released an update.
Prudential plc has announced the repurchase of 297,463 of its own shares at prices ranging from GBP 7.1360 to GBP 7.2500 per share, with the average price being GBP 7.1751. The transaction was conducted through Goldman Sachs International on the London Stock Exchange, following approval from shareholders at the Annual General Meeting. These shares will be cancelled, reducing the total number of shares in issue and consequently the total number of voting rights.
