PetroChina Company Limited has announced a proposal to appoint Ms. Liu Xiaolei as an independent non-executive Director, pending shareholder approval at the upcoming general meeting. Ms. Liu, with an impressive academic and professional background, including a role as an independent non-executive director of Bank of China Limited, is expected to bring valuable expertise to PetroChina’s Board. The company will soon publish a notice and circular detailing the proposed election and appointment.
