Petroleo Brasileiro SA- Petrobras (PBR) has released an update.
Petrobras has commenced operations of its FPSO Maria Quitéria in the Jubarte field of the pre-salt Campos Basin, significantly ahead of its original 2025 schedule. The new unit can produce up to 100,000 barrels of oil and process 5 million cubic meters of gas daily, enhancing Petrobras’s production capacity with a focus on reduced emissions. This development positions the FPSO Maria Quitéria to contribute around 40% of the field’s output, solidifying Petrobras’s dominance in the region.
