Outback Goldfields Corp. has announced a $5 million private placement to fund its acquisition of gold projects in Finland from S2 Resources Ltd., expected to transform the company with a portfolio of 100% owned projects and joint ventures in a promising gold camp. The offering includes subscription receipts convertible into shares and warrants, and comes alongside a share consolidation. The acquisition positions Outback in Northern Finland’s Central Lapland Greenstone Belt, known for significant gold discoveries and Europe’s largest primary gold mine.
