Ørsted and PGE have made the final investment decision on the 1.5 GW Baltica 2 Offshore Wind Farm, a significant renewable energy project located 40 km off the Polish coast, expected to be operational by 2027. This collaboration marks a pivotal step in Poland’s energy transition, enhancing energy security, reducing reliance on fossil fuels, and supporting economic development through job creation and industrial growth. With all major contracts secured, the project is de-risked and poised to contribute significantly to Poland’s low-emission energy goals.
