Nokia Implements Strategic Share Buyback Program

Story Highlights

Invest with Confidence:

Nokia ( (GB:0HAF) ) has issued an update.

Nokia announced the repurchase of its shares as part of a buyback program initiated to offset the dilution effects of shares issued to Infinera Corporation’s shareholders and certain stock-based incentives. The program, which started on November 25, 2024, is authorized to acquire up to 150 million shares with a maximum expenditure of 900 million euros and is set to conclude by December 31, 2025. As of January 24, 2025, Nokia had spent approximately 3.8 million euros on share acquisitions, increasing its total number of own shares to over 231 million. This buyback strategy reflects Nokia’s attempt to maintain shareholder value and its strategic positioning in the market.
