Nippon Yusen Announces Major Share Buyback

Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha (JP:9101) has released an update.

Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha has completed a significant buyback of its own shares, acquiring 3,743,300 shares at a total cost of JPY 17.6 billion during July 2024. This buyback is part of a larger program approved by the company’s board on May 8, 2024, which allows for the purchase of up to 35 million shares, capped at JPY 100 billion, by April 2025. To date, the company has acquired 8,061,300 shares for JPY 38.5 billion under this program.
