NFI Group (TSE:NFI) has released an update.
NFI Group’s subsidiary, New Flyer, has secured a contract from NJ TRANSIT for up to 1,300 Xcelsior 40-foot clean-diesel buses, aimed at enhancing New Jersey’s public transit system with more efficient, quieter, and environmentally friendly vehicles. The initial order includes 175 buses, with the option to expand up to 1,125 more, replacing older models to improve rider experience and reduce emissions in line with the Heavy-Duty National Program standards. This move is part of NFI’s broader commitment to providing sustainable mobility solutions and training across North American cities.
