New York Community Bancorp (NYCB) has released an update.
Alessandro DiNello has been appointed as the Executive Chairman and Principal Executive Officer of New York Community Bancorp, Inc., effective February 7, 2024. He will be the most senior executive, working closely with President and CEO Thomas R. Cangemi to enhance the operations of Flagstar Bank, the company’s subsidiary. DiNello, with a distinguished tenure as Flagstar Bank’s President and CEO since 2013, steps into his new role with no familial or transactional conflicts of interest. Additionally, Toan C. Huynh has resigned from the company and Flagstar Bank’s boards to pursue other interests. The company also amended its bylaws to align with these leadership changes, ensuring a stable governance structure for DiNello’s tenure.
