Mountain & Co. I Acquisition Corp. (MCAA) and Futbol Club Barcelona (FCB) have agreed to terminate their previously announced business combination agreement. This mutual decision enables both entities to concentrate on other near-term business prospects, with MCAA actively seeking alternative business combination opportunities. Additionally, MCAA is addressing compliance issues following the departure of a board member, which has left them temporarily non-compliant with certain Nasdaq listing requirements. However, MCAA anticipates regaining compliance within the allotted cure period.
