Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. has decided to strengthen its LNG carrier operations by acquiring the remaining shares in its joint venture with ITOCHU Corporation, LNG Rose Shipping Corporation (LRSC), thus making LRSC a fully consolidated subsidiary. The acquisition is significant as LRSC’s capital is more than 10% of Mitsui’s, indicating a strategic move to bolster their presence in the LNG transportation sector.
