Metro Mining Limited has set new records in bauxite production and shipment, achieving a milestone with 780,000 Wet Metric Tonnes (WMT) shipped in September 2024, an 8% increase from the previous month. The company’s optimization efforts at the Bauxite Hills Mine have led to a 35% year-on-year increase for September, and a quarterly record of 2.13 million WMT, keeping them on track to meet the annual guidance of 6.0 to 6.4 million WMT. These achievements were made possible despite operational challenges and are expected to continue improving with recent equipment upgrades and infrastructure enhancements.
