Methanex ( (TSE:MX) ) has provided an announcement.
Methanex Corporation announced that its Geismar 3 methanol plant in Louisiana experienced an unplanned outage in late February 2025, necessitating repairs to the autothermal reformer. The plant is expected to restart by early May 2025. During this period, Methanex will also complete planned maintenance work initially scheduled for a later date, which will impact second-quarter financial results due to reduced methanol sales. The repair costs are not anticipated to be significant.
