Meridian Energy Limited (MDDNF) has released an update.
Meridian Energy Limited’s Harapaki wind farm in New Zealand is expected to be completed ahead of schedule, providing a significant electricity boost by the end of July, despite setbacks from cyclones and COVID-19. The $448 million project, which aims to power most of Hawke’s Bay, is also setting new sustainability benchmarks by prioritizing local labor and innovative waste-reduction strategies. Upon completion, Harapaki will be the nation’s second largest wind farm, marking a major step forward in the country’s renewable energy capacity.
