Macquarie Technology Group Limited has announced the strategic acquisition of the Macquarie Park Data Centre Campus for A$174 million, aiming to strengthen its position in the cloud and AI-driven data centre market. The purchase includes the Intellicentre 2 and 3 East land and buildings, which will bolster Macquarie Data Centres’ ability to serve government and global customers, with plans for expansion and improved capital management. The acquisition, to be completed in the second half of FY24, is expected to enhance the company’s asset quality and support long-term growth.
