Lithium Americas and GM Form Strategic Joint Venture

Lithium Americas Corp. (TSE:LAC) has released an update.

Lithium Americas Corp. and General Motors have entered a joint venture to develop Thacker Pass, a critical lithium carbonate project in Nevada, with GM investing $625 million. This marks the largest investment by a U.S. automaker in a lithium project, strengthening the supply chain for critical minerals and extending GM’s involvement in the project to 20 years.
