Latrobe Magnesium Limited (LMG) has announced successful construction of its Demonstration Plant, ready for ore commissioning to showcase its unique low emission hydromet process, with MgO production set to begin soon. The company is on track to produce magnesium metal by Q3 2024, and has appointed Société Générale as the coordinator for its next commercial stage plant, targeting production in 2026. Additionally, LMG is awaiting a potential R&D tax rebate of $12.6 million from the Australian Taxation Office.
