Kunlun Energy Company Limited has announced the withdrawal of an ordinary resolution concerning the reappointment and remuneration of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) as the company’s auditor, ahead of its upcoming Annual General Meeting on May 30, 2024. This decision comes in the wake of recent regulatory issues in the auditing industry, and following discussions with PwC, who will retire at the end of their term. The company will propose a new auditor for shareholder consideration shortly and has confirmed there were no disagreements or undisclosed matters related to PwC’s retirement.
