Knightscope, Inc. has announced the appointment of three new directors—William G. Billings, Robert A. Mocny, and Melvin W. Torrie—to its Board with immediate effect, and they will serve until the 2024 annual meeting of stockholders. Billings brings extensive financial and accounting expertise from his tenure at GlobalFoundries and other major corporations; Mocny contributes vast security, law enforcement, and technology insights from his long career at the Department of Homeland Security; and Torrie offers in-depth knowledge of technology and leadership from his role at Autonomous Solutions Inc. The trio will also join the company’s Compensation and Audit Committees, with Billings chairing both. Additionally, each new director received an option grant to purchase 100,000 shares of the company’s stock. Concurrently, the company acknowledged the resignations of Patricia Howell, Linda Keene Solomon, and Patricia L. Watkins from the Board, noting that their departures were not due to any internal disagreements.
