Irving Tan Exits Stanley Black & Decker’s Board of Directors

Stanley Black & Decker (SWK) has shared an announcement.

Irving Tan has decided not to seek re-election to the board of directors at Stanley Black & Decker following his appointment as CEO of Western Digital Corp.’s standalone hard disk drive business. This move, which did not arise from disagreements with the company, will see the board reduced to nine members after his term ends. Shareholders can still vote using their current proxy cards, although votes for Tan will no longer be counted.
