Iris Energy Expands Data Center Power Capacity

Iris Energy (IREN) has released an update.

Iris Energy Limited (IREN), a leading renewable energy-powered data center provider for Bitcoin and AI, has announced a significant expansion of its power capacity at its Childress site by an additional 150MW, now totaling 2,310MW of secured grid-connected power. The expansion follows the approval of network studies by ERCOT and an amended connection agreement with AEP, with plans to increase data center operations to 510MW and enhance Bitcoin mining capabilities to 30 EH/s by 2024. IREN’s growth strategy also includes further development with over 1GW in its pipeline, emphasizing their commitment to 100% renewable energy sources.
