NASA has awarded a company a significant Near Space Network contract worth up to $4.82 billion, providing communication and navigation services for missions extending from Earth to beyond the Moon. The contract spans a five-year base period with an option for five more years, starting October 2024. This partnership aligns with the company’s strategic vision to commercialize lunar activities, including deploying a lunar satellite constellation to support NASA’s Artemis campaign and the broader lunar economy.
