International Paper Co (IP) has shared an update.
Andrew K. Silvernail has been elected to the Board of Directors at International Paper Company, effective immediately, with his term set to expire at next year’s annual meeting where he may be renominated. The Board, now totaling 10 members, elected Silvernail without any external agreements and confirmed there are no transactional conflicts of interest. Silvernail, who also took over as CEO this May, will not join any Board committees and will not receive additional compensation for his Board role. In the recent annual meeting, all nine director nominees were elected, Deloitte & Touche LLP was ratified as independent auditor, and two compensation-related proposals were approved, while two shareholder proposals regarding golden parachutes and LGBTQ+ equity were not passed.
