Intel Secures $7.86 Billion for Semiconductor Expansion

The latest announcement is out from Intel ( (INTC) ).

Intel has secured up to $7.86 billion in funding from the U.S. Department of Commerce under the CHIPS Act to enhance its semiconductor manufacturing in Arizona, New Mexico, Ohio, and Oregon. This funding, alongside a 25% investment tax credit, supports Intel’s ambitious $100 billion plan to boost U.S. chip production, aiding national security and economic growth. The initiative is expected to create tens of thousands of jobs and reinforce Intel’s leadership in advanced semiconductor technology.
