Japfa Ltd. ( (SG:UD2) ) has issued an announcement.
The Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) experienced a significant decline, dropping by 3.31% to 6,270.59 at the end of February 2025, driven by foreign selling actions amounting to Rp 10.2 trillion. The banking sector, particularly PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk, PT Bank Central Asia Tbk, and PT Bank Mandiri Tbk, saw the most foreign sell-offs. Contributing factors to this decline include slowing issuer performance, the depreciation of the rupiah against the US dollar, and investor concerns over US import tariffs. Meanwhile, Astra Group reported solid financial performance for 2024, with PT Astra International Tbk achieving a net profit of Rp 34.05 trillion, a 0.63% increase year-on-year. The group’s diverse business portfolio, particularly in motor vehicles, financial services, infrastructure, and logistics, supported this growth despite challenges in consumer purchasing power and commodity price volatility.
