Iberdrola has announced that its general shareholder meeting with Avangrid resulted in a favorable vote on their merger agreement, moving closer to the acquisition of all Avangrid shares not already owned by Iberdrola. The completion of this merger is contingent upon obtaining all necessary regulatory authorizations, some of which, including the Public Utilities Commission of Maine and the Public Service Commission of New York, are still pending.
